zesty ginger tea


Serves: 1

Preparation Time: 5mins.


  • 200ml boiling water

  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder (or 2cm piece of fresh turmeric, peeled & chopped - watch out, it can create yellow stains)

  • 1 lemon slice

  • 1 piece (about 2cm) of fresh ginger peeled & chopped

  • Juice of ½ an orange


  • 1 teaspoon of natural sweetener (e.g. maple, date or agave syrup, coconut sugar) 


  1. Place lemon, ginger and turmeric powder in a mug and pour in hot water. Add a splash of orange juice and stir to mix everything.

  2. Let sit for 5mins. before enjoying. Add sweetener if desired.
